OUR FIRE. OUR FAITH. OUR STORY.
OUR
STORY
Faith Church is a non-denominational ministry that believes and preaches the full gospel—that is, the complete gospel of Jesus Christ: His death, burial, resurrection, and the full power and gifts He left to the believer at Pentecost until His return.
On March 8, 1999, Pastor Hardy was given a vision by the Lord to begin a new ministry, which would be called “Faith.” Stepping out on this Word, Pastor Freddrick and Lady Selena Hardy emptied their bank account and called a meeting at their home. Thirteen people attended. It was at this meeting that the seeds sown together established Faith Full Gospel Baptist Church in Montgomery, Alabama. There were people who inquired about the next steps of Pastor Hardy’s ministry and met at the church’s first physical location at 505 Bibb Street in preparation for the first worship service, held on Resurrection Sunday, April 4, 1999, where 111 people joined the ministry.
Within months, the church grew rapidly and filled the storefront to capacity, creating the need for a larger worship space. After 1½ years, God orchestrated the purchase of the ministry’s current location at 1931 Highland Avenue. This was the ultimate faith test for the young congregation, which lacked the required years of credit history to obtain financing. It was through the congregation’s faith that God would provide, that the owners agreed to finance the church building and allow the young congregation to set its own monthly payment amounts. The first worship service was held at the new 1931 Highland Avenue location on April 28, 2002. All of this was accomplished by the ministry taking God at His Word. Since then, the ministry continues to teach people how to take God at His Word as a Kingdom Now church that supports both kingdom and business, under the spiritual covering of The Global United Fellowship.
At Faith Church, we are “faith walkers.” We live our lives by taking God at His Word. We are not moved by natural circumstances appearing inconsistent with what God has spoken. We walk by faith and not by sight. While the faith-walking journey is not easy, it is very rewarding because every promise and blessing of God is available to us by faith. What God promises, He performs.
